Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, a founding member of the People Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his thoughts on the confusion among ordinary people regarding the direction of the country. He mentioned that while ordinary people often understand the situation, the problem lies in leaders misleading them through misinformation or disinformation.
Additionally, he pointed out that social media exacerbates this issue. Oyedokun emphasized that even if figures like Jesus or Muhammad were to appear today, people would still find reasons to criticize them. These statements reflect his concerns about the influence of misinformation, disinformation, and the impact of social media on public opinion.
In an interview with The Sun, He said, "I am part of the ordinary people. In most cases the ordinary people understand the situation, but the problem we have is that leaders are misleading them either by misinformation or disinformation. And the social media is not helping either. Let Jesus or Muhammed come today, people will have something to say against them."
