Arsenal has confirmed the signing of Jorginho from English Premier League side Chelsea on a permanent deal, making him their third signing in this January transfer window.

The Italian midfielder will hope to make his debut for the Gunners against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday after the club confirmed his jersey number ahead of the game.

The former Napoli midfielder was handed the number 20 jersey and would be a perfect replacement for either Thomas Partey or Granit Xhaka in the midfield for the Gunners.

Arsenal released an official statement on their website to confirm Jorginho's jersey number ahead of Everton clash in the Premier League.

"Jorginho will wear the number 20 shirt and will immediately join up with his new teammates ahead of Saturday’s match at Everton," the club confirmed.

"Everyone at Arsenal welcomes Jorginho to the club. The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes."
