Angry Crowd Causes Uproar In Babu's Rally In Bondo, Gives This Reaction After Spotting Police

Uproar was watched during Embakasi East constituency member of parliament Babu Owino's rally in Bondo town, after a section of youths who were angry at police officers started shouting.

The outspoken lawmaker stopped in Bondo enroute to Kisumu town, after attending the burial service of comedian Fred Omondi in Sega, Ugenya constituency in Siaya county.

The uproar started immediately a contingent of police officers were spotted patrolling the town, and standing some distance from where Mr Owino and his entourage were addressing the residents.

The crowd which was angry at the officers started shouting, perhaps demanding the officers to get away from where they are standing because the felt insecure with the officer giving them security.

Seemingly, the residents where not happy with the officers who in the recent week has engaged them in running battles anytime they take to the streets to protest against the Finance Bill and even against President William Ruto.

"Wotoke hapo!" The residents shouted as they turned their back to face the law enforcers while Babu Owino continued to make his speeches.

At this time, Mr Babu Owino was reacting to the recent protests, accusing the police officers of causing chaos in the country, saying that they decided to use excess force on the otherwise peaceful protesters, forcing the protesters to respond by pelting stones.

"The protests were peaceful. It is these police officers who made it chaotic." Babu said as he pointed the direction where the police officers were standing, charging the crowd to made their voices louder.

The firebrand legislator was accompanied by former Nandi Hills member of parliament Alfred Keter who promised to work together with Babu Owino to ensure UDA is loses popularity across the country.
