Manchester City Midfielder, Bernardo Silva has taken to social media to dish out a lovely photo of himself and his Portuguese teammate, Bruno Fernandes after they won Slovenia on penalties to qualify for the next round of the 2024 Euros.
Recall that last night, Portugal locked horns with Slovenia in the Round of 16 of the 2024 Euros and it was a tough encounter as the game ended in a goaless draw. After the full 90 minutes was played, they headed straight to extra time.
Portugal were given the opportunity to go ahead just few minutes into the start of extra time after they were awarded a penalty but unfortunately, Cristiano Ronaldo's effort was saved by Jan Oblak.
The extra time also ended in a goaless draw and they were forced to play a penalty shootout in order to determine who makes it to the next round of the competition.
Portugal won the penalty shootout 3-0 to book their place in the Quarter Finals of the competition, they will be taken on France in few days time.
One of the most talked about player after the game was Manchester United Captain, Bruno Fernandes and that was because of how calmly he placed his penalty during the shootout, his teammate, Bernardo Silva has taken to social media to heap praises on him.
Bernardo Silva shared a photo of himself alongside Bruno Fernandes on his official instagram page and he accompanied it with a caption which read: "With my friend and penalty professor, Bruno Penandes'', he wrote and it stirred massive reactions from football fans across the globe.
