According to the report from the Sun, the convener of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, Edwin Clark delves into the tangled web of power struggles and political intrigue within the ranks of Nigeria's law enforcement and justice system.

He first highlights the controversial tenure of Ibrahim Magu as the acting chairman of the EFCC, culminating in his humiliating arrest, detainment, and subsequent promotion despite the panel findings against him.

He draws attention to the alleged misconduct of the former Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, who the speaker claims, abused his power to install his young and inexperienced nephew as the EFCC chairman.

He said, "Magu was in office for five years in an acting capacity. Then a panel was appointed with the former president of the Court of Appeal as its chairman and at the end of it all, the same Magu who was humiliated, disgraced, arrested, and detained was promoted and retired. He later made charges against the Attorney General; where are those charges? Nobody tried them and it was an opportunity for the Attorney General to bring his nephew, who was less than 40 years old to become the chairman of EFCC over and above his seniors who were actually within the system. That is the kind of country we have and today Malami is gone and he wanted to be governor of Kebbi State."
