Nyesom Wike: "He Is Fast Losing Everything.
A leader of the Pan Niger Delta Elders Forum (PANDEF), Chief Anabs Sara-igbe, has reportedly advised Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to reconcile with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the sake of dignity, before it is too late. This information was reported by Vanguard.
In response to Wike's statement, which he made during a live media interview in Abuja on Sunday, in which he declared that he would never make peace with Governor Fubara, Sara-Igbe advised the Minister to accept the peace gesture extended by the PANDEF, which is led by Obong Victor Attah, and to put an end to the ongoing political conflict in the state.
Wike was unable to emerge victorious from this conflict, he said.
Sara-Igbe made the following statement: "Everything is falling on his head." Every day, he is losing, and it is now quite evident that Wike will not be able to emerge victorious from this conflict.
As a further demonstration of his incredulity, he said, "What on earth has that young man done to him that he cannot forgive and let go?" Wike's inability to reconcile was another point of contention for him.
"At this point, Wike is comparable to a masquerade that has been exposed to the whole public. He is rapidly dropping all he has. The local government areas have been lost to him, the PDP has been lost to him, and very soon, the 27 MPs will be no longer in office. After that, he has nothing left to do. In that case, why do we keep fighting?
An opportunity to reconcile with dignity has been made available to him by PANDEF, which is led by Obong Attah. Chief Sara-Igbe made the following statement: "He should seize this opportunity and make peace with Fubara; otherwise, his end will be disastrous and disgraceful."
In addition, Sara-Igbe said that Governor Fubara is always willing to make peace for the welfare of the state, but that Governor Wike has persistently obstructed various attempts to achieve peace.
In addition to this, he brought up the fact that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's effort to arbitrate between the two parties was biassed, and that "Rivers people did not like that arrangement at all."
In addition, Sara-Igbe emphasised that regardless of whether or not Wike makes amends with Fubara, "the state has moved on without him." Wike is not God, and he will never be God either. The state of Rivers is at peace, and Governor Fubara is doing extremely well, regardless of whether or not he reconciles with that person," he remarked.
