Rivers: I'm Ashamed That You Have Lawyers Who Are Not Parties To The Suit Commenting — Chidi Lloyd

One lawyer who has been publicly commenting on a recent decision by the Appeal Court has the disapproval of Chidi Lloyd, the former chairman of the Emohua Local Government Area in Rivers State. Since they did not participate in the lawsuit or provide any legal paperwork, he stressed in an interview with TVC News that their opinions are superfluous. Lloyd said that these lawyers had no business offering unsolicited advice and had no business being involved in the court system.

Additionally, he blasted certain media outlets for allowing these solicitors a voice, which, in his opinion, is making matters worse. Lloyd made the valid point that these solicitors' remarks are both disrespectful and useless because they are not involved in the case. In addition, Lloyd clarified where the current disagreement in the Rivers State Assembly began. The bombing of the state parliament, he recalled, was the spark that ignited the controversy. Neither the leadership nor the standing of the assembly was brought up during that time.

Lloyd claims that this bombing incident initiated the present upheaval. Following the bombing, Lloyd also brought up the involvement of Honourable Martins Amaewhule. It was reported that Honourable Edison Ehie had proclaimed their seats vacant immediately after the bombing, and Amaewhule had suspended him, he said. Lloyd pointed out that this helped fuel the fires of discord that were already burning within the assembly. Lloyd blasted the solicitors and the press for contributing to the problem's escalation in his statements.

He contended that things have gotten much more complicated because of outside solicitors getting involved and the media amplifying what they say. According to Lloyd, it's disheartening to see solicitors who aren't involved in the case provide commentary on the subject. They have not intervened in the lawsuit and have not filed any papers either. Some in the media seem to be contributing to the problem by providing them with an audience. A few things must be clarified for us now.

Following the bombing of the state legislature, nobody said anything about who had become speaker or who had lost their seat, and this whole mess began. The House Leader, Honourable Edison Ehie, along with two others were suspended the moment the Assembly convened on a Monday. Under Martin Amaewhule's leadership, the House of Representatives accused Edison Ehie of conspiring to bomb the state assembly.
