The 82 years old General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has revealed that, notwithstanding his anointing and numerous years in the evangelical ministry, he is still aware of amorous temptations.
According to Punch, the octogenarian preacher said in a recent sermon that, regardless of his age, he still flees faster than previously from immoral temptations, warning that no amount of anointing can stop them.
He gave the above advice during a sermon at the recently concluded Minister & Workers Conference of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Americas 1 that consists of the North Central and the Carribean America with the theme: "The Glory Ahead".
In his speech, the respected Minister of God recounted that when he was asked by somebody on why he still flees from amorous temptations, he responded by saying, "I run faster than before because the closer you get to the finishing point, the more careful you must be".
Speaking further, he said that anointing does not turn body to stone. And sighting an instance from the Bible, he recalled that, in spite of the fact that Samson was able to singlehandedly kill a thousand soldiers, only one woman succeed in finishing him.
In his response to the possibility of some people asking if anybody is still interested in a man of his ages, he asserted that the real interest is in putting an end to all the great works that God has done through such one.
He additionally used the opportunity to admonish younger ones to be mindful of immoral temptations.
