3 players Chelsea should sign before the window closes

opera.com 2024/10/6

Chelsea FC has ran riot in this summer's transfer window and has snapped up some low-profile great signings for Enzo Maresca. The Blues' way of doing business has continued to change over the years and this summer, they are choosing to sign low-cost players with massive talent for the future.

They have completed signings such as Willian Estevão, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall while snapping up Adarabioyo on a free.

Chelsea are not done yet and will still sign some more players. I have compiled a list of the players Chelsea should sign before the end of the window below. Tell me your thoughts in the comments section.

Alexander Isak

The Swede proved himself to be one of the best forwards in the Premier League last season. He scored about 18 goals for Newcastle United who narrowly missed out on a European slot.

The 26-year-old is also a brilliant finisher and has an incredible amount of speed to boot. Isak is a very costly player however and does not fit into the model of signings the club is currently pursuing. Newcastle slapped a £111 million price tag on their Swedish forward and do not have any intention of letting him go.

Federico Chiesa

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano identified that Chelsea are currently looking for a right-footed winger in the market to bolster their attack. With that information, I have chosen Chiesa to be on this list.

The Juventus winger is right-footed and can play on both sides of the wing. He is an incredibly talented forward and will bring flair and goals to whichever he team he may join.

Chiesa has been left on the fringes of the Juventus side and Thiago Motta is looking to offload the player. Juve have set a measly €25 million as his asking price. This would be a good move for Chelsea because he is cheap and posseses a lot of talent and experience.

Diogo Costa

The Portuguese Goalkeeper is my final name on this list. He plays for Porto FC in the Primera Liga and was crucial for the Portuguese side in the Euros. Costa has always been on the radar of Chelsea but his high price tag made them move for a younger goalkeeper in Djorde Petrovic.

Petrovic had a fair season but could have done better on some occasions where his inexperience got the better of him. Costa is a fantastic shot stopper who is good with the ball at his feet. He recently saved 3 penalties for Portugal in the Knockout stages of the Euros and will command a fee in the region of £60 million.

That's it for my list. Which other players do you think Chelsea should sign this summer?
