United States President Joe Biden has said that he doesn't think anybody is more qualified than him to win the presidential race, as reported by Punch.

Biden made this statement after a debate with the former president Donald Trump, seeking to pull ahead in a match-up that has, so far, been in a dead heat. Despite delivering their point, Biden struggled to articulate his points at several moments, appearing to fumble for his words.

However, Biden, 81, has been under growing pressure to assuage doubts about his physical and mental fitness following a stumbling debate performance with Republican challenger, Donald Trump.

In an interview with ABC News on Friday evening, Biden said there is nothing that would make him consider quitting the presidential race.

"I don’t think anybody is more qualified to be president or win this race than me, Biden said in the interview, blaming his debate performance on exhaustion and a “really bad cold”.
