A man named Abdicha Hussein Jama and a woman believed to be her lover were involved in fatal accident at Windsor roundabout on Northern bypass in Kasarani.
According to reports, Hussein was riding the sports bike beyond acceptable limits.
Hussein was carrying one pillion passenger identified as Diana, and upon reaching the scene of the accident, the rider hit a speed bump and veered off the road. After losing control, the duo smashed into a ditch, killing one (Diana) on the spot.
Eyewitnesses said the two were intoxicated when the tragedy occurred. It is believed that they were heading home from a club.
The police have launched investigations to establish the cause of the accident. The body of the deceased was moved to Kiambu Hospital morgue while the rider is receiving treatment after suffering severe injuries.
Motorbike riders are urged to take caution as they ply along the highways to avoid accidents.
