The executive Governor of Plateau state, Caleb Mutfwang has reacted after he received the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, during his courtesy visit to the Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos.
The executive Governor of Plateau state, Caleb Mutfwang stated on his verified Twitter page; "I had the honor of receiving the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, during his courtesy visit to the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos. The Chief of Army Staff was in Jos for the 2024 Nigerian Army Day Celebration."
He added; "I reaffirm my administration's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for the Nigerian Army and other security agencies to effectively fulfill their constitutional duties of ensuring peace and security in our state."
The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain stated further; "I commend the courage and determination of the Nigerian Army personnel who have made significant sacrifices to keep Nigeria united. We are pleased that you selected Plateau State for this year’s Army Day celebrations. It is an honor for us and a sign of the confidence you have in Plateau State, recognizing our significant progress over the past year."
He noted; "This is not surprising. I recall the nationwide celebration when the Chief of Army Staff and other Service Chiefs were appointed last year. This was not only because our security architecture was being restructured to reflect our country’s federal character but also because exceptionally competent officers were chosen."
