Wike: He would not take my calls because he knows that the calls are not coming to support him– Precious Elekima

In a candid interview on Arise TV, the Chairman of Concerned Rivers State Elders Forum, Precious Elekima reveals the growing distance between himself and Wike, whom he had attempted to reason with on numerous occasions, but to no avail.

He cautions Wike against conflating the divine blessing of his political appointments with personal merit or distinction, highlighting the privilege of Wike's position as both governor and minister in Rivers State's relatively short history as a state.

He exhorts Wike to recognize the ephemeral nature of political power and to exercise restraint, lest he squander the good fortune afforded to him by God's grace.

He said, "For a while, we have not spoken and he (Wike) won't take the calls because he knows that the calls are not coming to support him. The calls are coming to tell him to please stop. So, in whatever public forum we go to, we just say please stop. Rivers State was created in 1967, people fought for the state and you are lucky to be one governor in these 57 years. You are lucky to be a minister. There is nothing in you to distinguish you in all these things than the grace of God."
