Senator Shehu Sani, a human rights advocate and media pundit, has declared that Saraki was Nigeria's greatest Senate President to date. Additionally, he stated that Bukola Saraki's Senate is significantly superior to that of Godswill Akpabio.

In a conversation with The Sun, Shehu Sani stated that the executive branch of the federal government was held accountable during the 8th National Assembly, which was led by Senator Bukola Saraki.

He clarified that the eighth assembly was the first to continue to be an independent and honest national parliament.

Additionally, Shehu Sani stated that Godswill Akpabio's Senate performance falls far short of Saraki's Senate record. He did, however, assert that the Senate under Godswill Akpabio was superior to the Senate under Lawan.

He said that because Lawan's Senate did not carry out its responsibilities, it was a rubber-stamp Senate.

According to Shehu Sani, "Saraki was the best Senate President we have ever had. For the fact that he held the executive to account and that for the first time, a National Assembly was viewed with integrity, we maintained the independence and sanctity of the National Assembly, that is, the Parliament."

"Godswill Akpabio’s Senate is far, far below the standard of Saraki’s Senate, but it is far ahead of Lawan’s Senate."

"Lawan’s Senate was a rubber stamp Senate because, part of the problems that we have now, they plunged Nigeria into it. The fact that the Senate at that time failed to perform its duty."

"It was approving everything of Buhari, endorsing everything of Buhari, and then they led us to where we are today."

"Most of the revelations that are coming now about how this country was destroyed, the question you will ask is, where was the National Assembly from 2019 till 2023?"
