Olusegun Osoba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress is a former Governor of Ogun state.
The Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Ibrahim Shettima stated on his verified Facebook page on Saturday; "Earlier today, I represented my boss, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the public presentation of Chief Olusegun Osoba's book "My Life in the Public Eye" in Lagos. In my brief remarks, I reaffirmed our administration's commitment to addressing food security concerns in the country and driving down the cost of living for the citizens."
He added; "I explained that our Government's recent decision to temporarily suspend tariffs on imported grains and other essential food items, a policy announced earlier in the week by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, are short-term measures to address the rising food prices across the country. I also noted that these measures are specifically aimed at tackling food shortages and improving affordability for consumers."
