Pochettino speaks on why there is no point in discussing Lukaku's possible return to Chelsea

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media in his recent interview on why there is no point in talking about Romelu Lukaku's possible return to the club.

Lukaku left during the time of Thomas Tuchel after his relationship with the German manager and the fans fell off. The Belgian striker returned to Inter Milan on loan and currently, he is on loan at AS Roma.

Some Chelsea fans are calling for his return since he is still a Chelsea player and the fact that the club currently lacks a clinical striker. If Lukaku returns to Chelsea and plays for Pochettino, it will save Chelsea from spending millions to acquire another striker in the summer.

However, Pochettino talked about why there is no point in discussing the Belgian's possible return to the club when he said: "There is no point talking because he wanted to leave in the summer. He is a player who didn't want to stay. When I arrived, the club told me Romelu Lukaku wanted to leave the club. That's it. Now we are talking about a player who is not here. There is no point talking about someone who didn't want to stay here and isn't here."
