Bayern Munich have announced the signing of former Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise on a five-year contract, according to All Nigeria Soccer. The winger, who spent his formative years at Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City, ended his three-year association with Crystal Palace to join the German giants.

Olise, a quad-national player born in London, progressed through the youth academies of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City before making his senior debut at Reading in March 2019. He was a schoolboy at Chelsea for seven years before being released, but his talent and hard work earned him a spot at Reading and eventually Crystal Palace.

The 22-year-old excelled at Palace, becoming the first player to achieve double-digit assists in a single Premier League season. His impressive performance earned him the club's 2022-2023 Players' Player of the Season award.

Bayern Munich beat Chelsea to sign Olise, who was a target for the Blues. However, they withdrew from the race, opting to trust their current players. Olise expressed his excitement to join Bayern, stating, "The talks with FC Bayern were very positive, and I'm very happy to now be playing for such a big club. It's a great challenge, and that's exactly what I was looking for."

Olise's move to Bayern is a significant step up in his career, and he hopes to win titles with the Bavarians. His signing reinforces Bayern's commitment to investing in young talent, and Olise is expected to contribute to the team's success in the coming seasons.
