BREAKING: Yahaya Bello vs EFCC: Appeal Court Overturns Lokoja Court Order, Rules Against Ex-Kogi Gov

The Court of Appeal has overturned a previous Lokoja High Court order against the EFCC and its Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, in a contempt case brought by Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello. The appellate court granted the EFCC's motion for a stay of execution and proceedings, postponing the hearing to May 20, 2024. Additionally, the court directed that all legal documents in the case be posted at Governor Bello's last known address in Abuja. This decision halts the contempt proceedings and allows the EFCC's appeal against the Lokoja High Court ruling to proceed. Why Fubara Can’t be Described as the Political Leader of Rivers – Senator Abe

Former Rivers State Senator Magnus Abe explained why he doesn't consider Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the political leader of Rivers State. Abe made these remarks during an interview on TVC's Politics Night show, which gained traction on social media. According to Abe, being the state leader goes beyond merely governing; it involves earning trust, building a following, and fostering confidence over time. He emphasized that while Fubara is the governor, being the political leader requires broader support and credibility.

Abe highlighted that political leadership, exemplified by figures like Aminu Kano, transcends official positions. He also mentioned reconciling with Nyesom Wike, highlighting their former rift over the 2023 elections when Abe was sidelined by his party in favor of another candidate. Wike supported Fubara's candidacy, leading to Abe's estrangement from his former principal, Rotimi Amaechi.
