Popular Arise TV presenter, Rufai Oseni has questioned the All Progressive Congress about their debt Management approach.
Rufai took to popular social media platform known as X to express his opinion over the continuous increase in Nigerias debt.
According to Rufai, in 2015 when APC took over from PDP, the total debt deficit was 12 trillion naira which has now plunged to all time high of 120 trillion naira.
Rufai Oseni however asked the APC led federal government to explain to Nigerians what they did with the money they borrowed and spent.
“The APC should honestly tell Nigerians how they grew Nigeria’s debt from 12 trillion in 2015 to over 120 trillion in 2024. Ask them what they did with the money?, he said.
Many Nigerians are however reacting to this. While majority are of the view that Nigerians need explanations from the federal government, others believe that the cost of government has increased thereby encouraging borrowing from government.
