Head Coach Randy Waldrum has unveiled the final 20-player roster for the Nigerian Super Falcons' participation in the upcoming Women's Olympic Football Tournament in France.

The squad includes key players such as captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Osinachi Ohale, and forward Asisat Oshoala.

Other notable inclusions are defenders Oluwatosin Demehin and Michelle Alozie, midfielders Deborah Abiodun, Halimatu Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe and Toni Payne, and forwards Esther Okoronkwo, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Uchenna Kanu.

According to reports from Channels Television, the Nigeria national team, the nine-time African champions, will be making their first appearance at the Women's Olympic Football Tournament since 2008 in China.

They have been drawn in a tough group, facing Brazil, Spain and Japan.

To qualify for the 12-team Olympic tournament, the Super Falcons edged out South Africa's Banyana Banyana 1-0 in the final qualifying round, with a penalty kick goal from Ajibade in Abuja.

The team members currently in Nigeria will join the home-based players and team officials on a flight from Abuja to Seville, Spain on Thursday night, where they will undergo a two-week training camp before departing for France on July 18.

The Super Falcons' campaign at the Olympics will begin on July 25 against Brazil at the Stade Bordeaux.

They will then face Spain on July 28 and Japan on July 31, with the latter two matches taking place at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes, the same venue where the Super Eagles famously defeated Spain 3-2 at the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
