The First Lady of Abia state, Priscilla Otti has reacted after Abia-born athlete, Nworgu Ogechika Esther, won a silver medal at the recently concluded June 2024 Para Powerlifting World Cup in Tbilisi, Georgia.

She noted that the victory is a testament to the numerous untapped potentials within Abia State and Nigeria as a whole.

Abia State First Lady, Mrs Priscilla Otti stated on her verified Twitter page; "I am delighted to congratulate our Abia-born athlete, Nworgu Ogechika Esther, for winning a silver medal at the recently concluded June 2024 Para Powerlifting World Cup in Tbilisi, Georgia. Your incredible strength and resilience are commendable. I am so proud of you."

She added; "This victory is a testament to the numerous untapped potentials within Abia State and Nigeria as a whole. This achievement also proves that nothing is impossible."

She stated further; "I extend my encouragement to Esther and her team, who have also qualified for the upcoming Paralympic Games in Paris from August 28 to September 8, 2024. Aim for gold, and know that the state government will provide you with all the necessary support. Abia State will proudly be represented by Nworgu Ogechika Esther and Onyinyechi Mark Gift at the Paralympics. We wish them the very best in their endeavors."
