Nigerian activist Comrade Abiodun Olamide Thomas has made serious allegations against the Nigeria Police Force, claiming they tried to kill her while she was in their custody.

In a statement to SAHARA REPORTERS, she detailed her experiences of police violence and human rights abuses, specifically mentioning Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi.

Thomas reported being forced into unnecessary medical treatments, suffering from physical abuse, and dealing with psychological trauma that worsened her health.

She accused Adejobi and others of attempting to silence activists pushing for vital police reforms.

She shared how her colleagues managed two health emergencies during their detention, contrasting their support with the threats she encountered from police officers.

She also pointed to the recent kidnapping of TikToker Comrade Seaking to illustrate the intimidation tactics used against those who challenge the authorities.

Thomas urged Nigerians to unite against what she describes as a "civilian dictatorship," demanding an end to police brutality, extortion, and violations of human rights.

According to her,

“I need to bring to the attention of everyone what I have been going through as a result of what I was subjected to while in police custody. My health condition has not been the same ever since I was forced to receive treatments at police hospital

I don't know what the FPRO wanted to do with my blood in the sample bottle and why he might have requested for it through the officer. I've heard ugly stories of him being fetish since his days as PPRO in Ogun and Lagos states."
