Biden revealed that he contemplated suicide in the aftermath of the devastating loss, reflecting on his emotional turmoil during that dark period of his life.

Biden shared candidly about his struggles with grief, acknowledging that he grappled with thoughts of using alcohol as a coping mechanism but ultimately refrained from drinking. He confessed to moments of temptation, recalling times when he would contemplate opening a bottle of scotch but could never bring himself to do so.
