William Ruto Rubbishes's Allegations His CS Was Captured With Dollars In Dubai

President William Ruto stated that the allegations, that a senior Kenyan government official was trapped in Dubai with cash are untrue.

The claim gained traction on Kenyan X, where some sources mentioned a Cabinet Secretary who was purportedly involved in the incident.

While interacting with Kenyans on X, Ruto denied the reports as untrue and emphasized his renewed resolve to hold his subordinates accountable in order to prevent the misappropriation of public funds.

Claims that a member of his Cabinet was apprehended by authorities in a Gulf nation, with millions of dollars have been denied by President William Ruto as incorrect. 

On social media, there had been widespread claims, that a Cabinet Secretary had been apprehended in Dubai.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) metropolis renowned for its opulent shopping, cutting-edge architecture, and vibrant nightlife, with about KSh 210 million in cash.

The plaintiffs claimed that the president's intervention was necessary to obtain his release. On Friday, July 5, Ruto addressed a crowded X space in Kenya and clarified that the claim was false.

"We must distinguish between the news that is true and that which is false. It is false information that a minister was discovered in Dubai with $200 million or more. That is untrue, according to Ruto.

He made the aforementioned declaration while reaffirming his renewed, dedication to monitoring his juniors in an effort to close corruption gaps.

Nonetheless, the president did not hold back, when criticizing public servants who flaunt their wealth. He saw that a few of his government's highest ranking officials lacked manners.

Ruto claimed to be aware of the growing reputation of certain government employees, for speaking out of turn and projecting an air of haughtiness.

He disclosed that he had occasionally had to summon them, to order because of their persistent display of extravagance, which infuriates the general public. 

Senator Karen Nyamu, who was selected, was singled out by the president, who disclosed that he had occasionally sat her down and counseled her to alter her behavior.

However, in response to the calls for the Cabinet to be dissolved, the president stood by a few of his cabinet secretaries, noting that some of them were inexperienced and occasionally required his advice from more seasoned counterparts.

As a result, he gave the impression that he would not dismiss the Cabinet as proposed, claiming that some concessions were necessary to keep the government functioning.
