Barcelona has been very busy in the transfer market lately. Deals have been settled for quality players such as Raphinha and Lewandowski, not to forget Franck kessie and his compatriot Andreas Christensen.
This is a good omen for Barcelona and a risk worth-taking for the following reasons:
I. They now have enough quality players that can slide into multiple positions.
Of course this will greatly help Barcelona's coach Xavi Hernandez to tinker with various formations as the occasion demands in every match. A good example is the deployment of Frank de jong as a central defender in the match against Real Madrid to test various challenging match situations that may arise in title-deciding games.
II. Enough back up players now exist where there used to be injury concern as it's often the case deep into the long season .
Last season, a host of Barcelona players suffered a lot of injuries which impacted on their chances of clinching the laliga title for a record time.
The arrival of a host of players and the much anticipated arrival of another world class defender Jules Kounde will definitely bolster the squad and thus make the team far more competitive than in the recent past.
It is therefore certain that Barcelona can and will compete for all titles in the incoming season.
