Wife of Olu Jacobs, Joke Silver reacts to news of her husband death, says he is still alive.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, has refuted recent social media rumors claiming the demise of her husband, Olu Jacobs.

Addressing the speculation, Silva confirmed that Jacobs, renowned for his distinguished career spanning over 40 years in the Nigerian movie industry, is alive and well.

Born Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, the actor earned acclaim both locally and internationally, having trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in England.

According to PM News, his career highlights include winning the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2007 and receiving the Lifetime Achievement Awards from both AMAA in 2016 and Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2013.

Silva described Jacobs as a pivotal figure in Nollywood, revered for his acting prowess and mentorship of emerging talents through their media corporation, Lufodo Group, and Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts.

Beyond Nollywood, Jacobs starred in various international productions such as "The Dogs of War," "Pirates," and "Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend" during the 1980s.

The couple, known for their contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry, continues to inspire unity and creativity through storytelling.

Silva emphasized that the false reports about Jacobs' passing mark the second instance of such unfounded rumors circulating on social media.
