Out of 14 PDP Governorship Aspirants, Fubara Was The Only One Who Was Not A Politician - Tony Okocha
The All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker chairman in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has levied shocking accusations against Governor Fubara's ascent to office.
During a TVC News interview, Okocha stated that Fubara's ascent to the PDP candidacy was the outcome of manipulation by party leaders rather than his popularity.
According to Okocha, Fubara was the only non-politician among the 14 contenders and would have finished last in a fair primary poll. Rather, he said that Wike and other party officials used their power to force Fubara on the party.
He said, "He could not have made it without the support of Wike and every other person who stood by his side. Out of the 14 aspirants for the governorship flag bearer of the PDP in Rivers State, Governor Fubara was the only one who was not a politician."
"And if there was an election primary, he would bug number 14, but everything was manipulated; through the elders of the party, he was produced as a candidate of the party."
