VP Kashim Shettima Urges Support for Made-in-Nigeria Products at Manufacturing Summit

The importance of prioritizing local content and promoting made-in-Nigeria products has again been stressed by the presidency.

Vice President Kashim Shettima reminded citizens of this at the opening of the three-day National Manufacturing Policy Summit in Abuja.

He reminded attendees that Executive Order 003, which mandates the patronage of locally manufactured goods, remains in effect.

According to The Punch, Shettima announced that the Federal Government has partnered with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria to create a comprehensive roadmap and policy framework aimed at revitalizing the nation's manufacturing sector.

He affirmed that the roadmap and policy framework will be swiftly implemented to bring about the necessary changes to revamp the sector.

The VP who acknowledged the challenges the manufacturing sector has faced over the past decades, urged summit participants to leverage the event to develop actionable plans for immediate implementation.

The Vice President also stressed the importance of supporting local firms to bolster the economy.
