Nigerian actor, Adebowale Adedayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni had stated that it is Condemnable to attack or harass people for their political choice
Mr Macaroni made this disclosure via his twitter handle on Wednesday appealed to politicians to take due process
Mr Macaroni statement reads: "Again, as I have always preached, it is highly condemnable to attack, harass or bully others for their political choices. And I strongly believe that whosoever is guilty of such should face the consequences of their actions
"But due process should be followed. Don’t let the police illegally detain or torture anyone on your account. The law is clear on these things. There is a stipulated period for which you can hold an accused
"Don’t deny them access to their lawyers. Don’t detain their family or friends. In summary, don’t do any injustice while seeking justice. I say this because it is a dangerous trend. And I say this not for now alone but for the future
"I say this also not just because of whatever is going on right now but in general. We have seen powerful people pick up whoever they want to and lock them up for as long as they like. This must not be encouraged
"Conclusively, let us all be civil in our engagements online and offline and treat everyone with respect and dignity. Peace 🙏🏾
