Mrs. Ramot, the mother of a lady, Hamidat Abdulrafiu, who went missing after going to see her customer, said that she sensed trouble when she started chatting with her daughter and there was no response from her. She added that she also dialed her number, and it was not reachable throughout that day, even up until now. Mrs. Ramot said all efforts to get Hamidat back proved abortive, and there has been no report that she was kidnapped or got involved in an accident.
According to a report by The Punch News, Mrs. Ramot said, "Hamidat is a businesswoman who sells unisex clothes, and she normally travels to Lokoja to go and meet her customers and collect money for goods they might buy in credit. When she got to Lokoja, she told me that she was there. And it was later in the morning on the 19th when I started chatting with her, and there was no response. I sensed trouble. I dialed her number, and it was not reachable throughout that day up until now."
