The Labour Party won the UK general election with a resounding majority, winning more than three-quarters of the House of Commons seats.

At a morning rally in London, Labour Party leader Keir Starmer assured his joyful supporters of the enormous responsibility that accompanies this extraordinary mandate.

The most recent projections from the BBC indicate that the Conservatives will gain 144 seats and the Labour Party 410.

Recently, Rishi Sunak admitted to the public that he lost the election and said that he contacted Keir Starmer to congratulate him.

After his opposition Labour Party defeated the incumbent Conservatives in the general election, Keir Starmer was named prime minister-elect and has since detailed his intentions to begin a time of "national renewal" in the UK.

Delivering a triumphant victory speech in London, Starmer declared, "Today marks the commencement of a new chapter as we embark on the task of instigating change, undertaking the mission of national renewal, and commencing the process of rebuilding our nation." This statement comes after his party secured a majority in parliament.
