Arsenal make millions from Chelsea transfer

Arsenal have received £ 3 million following Chelsea’s sale of Omari Hutchinson to Ipswich Town.

The Gunners inserted a 15 per cent clause in the deal that saw the winger make the move to Stamford Bridge in 2022.

BBC Sport states that Chelsea will make money from any future sale of the 20-year-old, too.

Hutchinson completed a permanent move worth an initial £20m - with a further £2.5m potentially if performance-related add-ons are met.

Following the Tractor Boys' promotion back to the Premier League, they made the youngster their top target, though there was initial concern that they would not be able to afford him.

Hutchinson had a brilliant campaign in the Championship last season for Ipswich, contributing 10 goals and six assists.

The Jamaica international - whose FootballTransfers’ Estimated Transfer Value algorithm (ETV) ranks at €6.7m - played twice for Chelsea after joining from Arsenal.

Arsenal have had a relatively quiet window so far. The side missed out on a Premier League title once again last term, with Manchester City clinching the silverware.
