Arsenal are reportedly in the mix to sign one of Madrid first-team star who played over 20 league games for them last season.

The Gunners are working very hard to strengthen every department in their squad and have made considerable progress in the discussions they have had with their targets so far.

According to The Mirror, Arteta's side are willing to bring in a new defender, striker, goalkeeper and a midfielder this summer.

In regards to signing a new goalkeeper, the club have reportedly made an offer to Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, who could leave due to his soar relationship with Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti - According to Cadena COPE and revealed by GOAL.

Currently, the Ukraine international has just one year left on his contract with the European champions. Madrid have offered him an extension till 2029, but Lunin is yet to sign the contract and is said to be carefully weighing his options as many European clubs have enquired about his availability.

Recall that the 25-year-old shot-stopper stepped up as Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper last season following Thibaut Courtois' ACL surgery, playing 21 La Liga matches, conceding 17 goals and keeping 10 clean sheets in the process.

His contributions throughout the season was outstanding, with his Champions League heroics against Manchester City in the quarter-finals the peak of them all - He saved two penalties in a shootout that propelled Real Madrid into the semis.

However, Ancelotti acknowledging Courtois as "the best goalkeeper in the world" before the Champions League final, and starting him ahead of Lunin did not go well with the Ukrainian - who could depart the club this summer.

Nonetheless, Arsenal's actual offer for Lunin is undisclosed at this moment, but it is believed that a move for him could stretch till after the Euros.

The Gunners' interest in Lunin is part of Mikel Arteta's plan to strengthen their goalkeeping options, as Aaron Ramsdale is expected to leave the club after losing his place to David Raya.
