Federal Government Flags Off Affordable Housing Project in Benue State

The Federal Government has launched the construction of 250 units of affordable housing in Benue State, under the Renewed Hope Housing Estates program. Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa, represented by Minister of State, Alhaji Abdullahi Gwarzo, announced that the project is part of the President Bola Tinubu-led dministration's Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme. The program aims to deliver 50,000 housing units across Nigeria, including seven Renewed Hope Cities and 30 states, to address the housing deficit and stimulate economic growth.


The estate will comprise 50 units of 1-bedroom, 150 units of 2-bedroom, and 50 units of 3-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, creating massive employment opportunities. The project is funded from the N50 billion 2023 Supplementary Budget approved by President Tinubu to ensure sustainability and quality. Governor Hyacinth Alia, represented by Commissioner Imojime Tiza, commended President Tinubu's vision to tackle the housing challenge, noting that the program will transform the housing landscape and address the housing deficit in the country.
