The operatives of the Kano State Police Command are currently unravelling the mystery regarding what four phone thieves were doing with a handcuff found on them during their arrest in Kano City, it was announced on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, SP Haruna Abdullahi Kiyawa, disclosed the arrest on his Facebook wall on Wednesday, saying the young men, whose names he did not provide, were arrested by a patrol team along the Airport Road in the Kano City.

According to him, the patrol team accosted them based on suspicion following the way they were moving about inside their operational tricycle and when they were searched, seven phones suspected to have been stolen as well as a handcuff were found on them.
Also, during their interrogation, they were said to have told the police operatives that they always snatched phones from residents of Kano whenever they were inside the tricycle.
The Police PRO added that they had given more useful information to the police operatives while they are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
Part of the statement reads: "During an on the spot search, seven mobile phones and a handcuff were recovered in their possession. The suspects confessed to have used tricycle and snatched people's mobile phones."
