Senator Shehu Sani has voiced his concerns regarding the presidency's decision to grant the contract for the Lagos-Calabar coastal road to Hitech Construction Company Ltd. Notably, Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, serves as a director on the board of CDK Integrated Industries, a subsidiary of the Chagoury Group, which owns Hitech.
Taking to his Official Facebook Page, Shehu Sani pointed out the apparent hypocrisy in the North's reaction to similar actions by past administrations. He questioned why there is opposition to Seyi Tinubu's involvement, while similar instances involving the families of former presidents were met with silence and support.
Shehu Sani said, "The Seyi Tinubu matter; When the family of the former President and their cabal were involved in all sorts of things, many people especially from the North kept quiet. Some even said that being an adult relation to those in power doesn’t preclude one from doing business. What makes that of Seyi different?
He Added "But even look at it,are there still wives and Children of state Governors not directly or indirectly involved in Businesses or not. I don’t know who is Seyi of today, but I know of many Seyis of the past Governments at the Federal and states level and they are now free enjoying themselves."
