The executive Governor of Lagos state and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reacted after the Senate Committee on Marine Transportation and Blue Economy led by its Chairman, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, came on a working visit to Lagos House, Ikeja, today.

The executive Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated on his verified Facebook page; "The Senate Committee on Marine Transportation and Blue Economy led by its Chairman, Senator Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, came on a working visit to Lagos House, Ikeja, today. We highlighted our achievements in water transportation and the blue economy among other interventions in our bid to enhance marine ecosystems and reduce travel time."
He added; "We have launched several landmark projects that will not only change the face of marine transportation in Lagos but will also enhance social economic activities, the movement of people from one part of the city to another, and reduce travel time by 60 to 70%. "

He added; We remain committed to improving and enhancing our working relationship with the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA)."
