According to a report by The Nation Nigeria. The state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tajudeen Lawal, has received a warning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Osun State to cease criticizing Senator Lere Oyewumi, the deputy Senate minority leader.

The PDP told Lawal to accept the fact that the people of the state had rejected his party in the wake of Ademola Adeleke's election as governor, according to a statement released by Sunday Bisi, the party's chairman.

Citing Senator Oyewumi's accomplishments in his first year in the Senate, a few APC members in Ikire, Irewole Local Government, recently defected to the PDP.

The PDP said that Lawal had resorted to blackmail and had misrepresented Senator Oyewumi's comments when welcome the defectors into the PDP, sensing that the APC in Irewole Local Government could be doomed as a result of the key members' defection.

The defeated opposition party has been so traumatized by its defeat, according to Bisi, that they make jargon-filled comments almost every day, accusing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of absurdities.
