Sen. Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker from Kaduna who served as the National Assembly representative for Kaduna Central, responded after Sen. Yemi Adaramodu, the Senate spokesman, declined to disclose their salary. When the senator was asked in a widely circulated video that was posted on Channels TV's official X handle how much they make, he instructed the interviewer to go find out for themselves. When the journalist said, "So tell me, how much does the average senator take home each month? I would like a direct response to this straightforward query.

"Yes, it is a direct question, and I will give you a direct answer," he said in response. I will give you the straight answer: if I tell you that it is N10, you won't believe me. Since you are a journalist and have access to the Freedom of Information Act, go ahead and use it to gather information and present the evidence to Nigerians in an open manner so that no senator or member of the House of Representatives will be able to come here and refute it. That is the most effective approach to take. After seeing the video, Shehu Sani has since responded. In a message posted on Monday on his official X account, he stated he was baffled as to why Adaramodu was unable to provide a direct response to the query.

Shehu Sani wrote, "I don't know why he couldn't just answer the question straightforward," on his official X Twitter.
