Senator Shehu Sani, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former Kaduna state lawmakers, has reacted to the Northern State Governors recent trip to the United States for a security summit.
The United States Institute of Peace had invited governors from the north-west and north-central zones to a two-day symposium on peace and security in northern Nigeria.
Shehu Sani responded to the news on his official X handle, stating that he hopes the Northern States Governors' visit will yield more than simply souvenirs and conference papers, adding that Ukraine received $60 billion from the United States.
Shehu Sani wrote and I quote:
"Ukraine got $60 Billion from the United States, I hope the Northern States Governors who went to the United States will not come back home with only Souvenirs and conference papers."
