I was blindfolded, scolded, and beaten up right in front of the State Police Commissioner—Journalist

The National Coordinator of the Take-It-Back Movement, Comrade Juwon Sanyaolu, who was recently released from the custody of the Nigerian Police, has recounted his ordeal in the incident.

According to reports, the Nigerian journalist was arrested by officers of the Department of State Services (DSS) and handed over to the Lagos State Police command in Ikeja.

It was gathered that Juwon Sanyaolu later regained freedom after spending days in police detention.

However, in a video posted by Sahara TV, Sanyaolu recounted how he was moved to the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja and how he was blindfolded and beaten up right in front of the State Police Commissioner.

According to the video, "They took me straight to the office of the State Commissioner, and right in front of him, I was scolded, blindfolded, and beaten up.".
