I Don’t know when we are going to have a President with passion like Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obadiah Mbila

Nkumogu Obadiah Mbila, a public affairs analyst, has raised concerns about the absence of a Nigerian president who possesses the same passion for unity and progress as Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Mbila argues for the necessity of a unifying leader without tribal biases to effectively govern Nigeria. He points out that influential non-indigenous interest groups have impeded the rise of such a leader, prioritizing their own agendas over the needs of native Nigerians.

In an interview with The Sun, Mbila said, "I don’t know when we are going to have a president who will take the unity and progress of this country with the same passion Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe had. But be sure it will not be long before we elect a detribalised Nigerian leader.

There’s an unspoken reason the emergence of a true Nigeria leader has remained elusive. We have a few but powerful power brokers who are bent on the protection of non-indigenous interests. These few powerful ones are more interested in their best interests than the interests of indigenous Nigerians. They can be likened to the harlot who prefers the death of her friend’s child that makes both of them childless."
