As the political crisis in Rivers State deepens, more groups are rallying in support of Governor Sim Fubara.

According to CHANNELS TELEVISION, the latest show of solidarity comes from the Simplicity Movement, led by Sobomabo Jackrich, the 2023 National Rescue Movement governorship candidate in the state.

The group has pledged to tour all twenty-three local government areas of the state to garner support for the embattled governor.

A large crowd of Simplicity Movement members marched through Buguma, the headquarters of the Asari-Toru Local Government Area, on Friday, demonstrating their unwavering support for Governor Fubara.

The group believes the governor is facing undue disturbances and has committed to backing him through these challenging times.

During the rally, the caretaker chairman of Asari-Toru LGA, Orolosama Amachree, and Sobomabo Jackrich outlined their reasons for supporting Fubara.

They emphasized the governor's commitment to the development of Rivers State and criticized the distractions he is facing.

Other speakers at the event reaffirmed their commitment to backing Governor Fubara, stressing the importance of supporting an Ijaw leader during these critical times.

They urged detractors to desist from actions that could destabilize the state.

In addition to the rally, the group inaugurated its executive members across the twenty-three LGAs before marching through the streets of Buguma, symbolizing their organized and widespread support for the governor.

The political landscape of Rivers State has been turbulent, marked by protests and solidarity marches from supporters of both Governor Sim Fubara and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

On Monday, June 24, 21 former LGA Chairmen and other stakeholders held a solidarity march in various LGAs in support of Wike, highlighting the ongoing divisions within the state.
