Ruto Tells Gen Zs to Wait for 2032 Election After Call to Resign

President William Ruto has responded to Gen Zs who have declared resumption of demonstration on Tuesday, 16.

In his address, Ruto stated that those calling for his resignation should wait for the 2032 elections and elect another leader.

He said he was going to make an inclusive government and thus Kenyans should give him more time to fulfill his agenda.

He said Kenya was a democratic country noting that coup are unwarranted.

This announcement came amid President William Ruto’s firm stance that he will not resign despite the youth calling for his resignation due to allegations of poor governance and corruption.

Generation Z have vowed to carry out countrywide demonstrations in condemnation of the killing of peaceful protesters by the police as they agitated for good governance as enshrined in the constitution.

It will be interesting to watch how the countrywide protests will end with the President's allies accusing some unnamed individuals of sponsoring them with the aim of eventually overthrowing his government

To pay tribute to the departed, Gen Z announced on social media that they will organize a massive demonstration on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, to remember those who sacrificed their lives.

Gen Z urged Kenyans to gather in large numbers in Nairobi, carrying flags to celebrate the third liberation heroes who have lost their lives.
