Adebayo Shittu, a former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly and former Minister, has voiced grave concerns following the victory of the PDP in all chairmanship positions in the local government elections in Oyo State.
In a video recently posted on YouTube by Channels TV, Shittu alleged widespread irregularities and fraud in the elections. He asserted that no proper election took place in his local government area, Saki West. Shittu claimed that the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) failed to oversee the process, with no distribution of election materials and absence of officials at polling stations. Additionally, he alleged that the electoral officer for Saki West LGA was nowhere to be found on the day of the election.( Photo credit : Channels Television Verified Facebook Page )
During an interview on Channels Television, he remarked, "A senator told me an ex-Senator was dancing on election day, singing 'we will write results'. It was a fraudulent election. It's very sad that Governor Makinde would superintend such a fraudulent election".
