A former Presidential Aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has, during an interview on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme, insinuated that the All Progressive Congress (APC), is behind the mass defection of members from the main opposition party; but noted that members of the ruling party too would start leaving soon.
Dele Momodu had said, "The other reason that we can look at is the fact that APC is already very treachery about 2027, the race has already started, even while the government is groaning in darkness as to how to conduct the affairs of Nigeria; so they are already treachery and they will do everything possible to destroy opposition. So it's up to those of us who are left in opposition to carry on strongly like the Roman soldiers, and I hope that we can make something tangible out of what we have at the moment, but I know that a lot of people also in APC will start moving, anybody who is a student of political history in Nigeria will know that..."
