Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua have pleaded with Gen Zs to call off the nationwide protests, adding that they have already had their cries and will consider all their demands.

Speaking today in Nanyuki, Laikipia County during the burial of his elder Sister Leah Wangari Muriuki, DP Gachagua said that it is now time that Kenyans, especially the Gen Z should consider making peace with the government.

Gachagua said that one of the reasons why the Gen Z should call off the protests is because the protests, which they meant to be peaceful, have now been infiltrated by goons who have other ill motives.

"Gen Zs, as your father, we have heard you. I want to ask you to call off the protests. What you started as a peaceful protests have now been infiltrated by goons who want to destroy our country. That is my plea to you as a parent," Gachagua said.

The Second in Command also revealed that a mechanism is already in place to deal with issues that had been raised by the Gen Z.

He said that once the Gen Z call off the protests, they will address all the issues raised by the Protesters.

He also said that calling off the protests will give the Kenyan security an ample opportunity to deal with criminals in the country.

"Now that you have been heard, a mechanism has been put in place so that issues that you want addressed will be addressed," Gachagua said.

"Once you call off the protests, our security will be able to deal with criminals," he added.

The DP also asked leaders to tone down as they address the Gen Zs over the nationwide protests.
