Ruto's Government To Take Action Against Police Officers Found Guilty Of Harming Protesters

President William Ruto has announced the Cabinet's resolution on action to be taken against the Police officers who harrased and harmed the protesters during the past weeks of protest in the country.

The President says that the Cabinet made the decision and approved that the police officers be dealt with according to the law for their acts of dealing with protesters inappropriately.

He said that relevant institutions will carry out the investigations and bring into book the officers who are culpable of harming and harassing the peaceful protesters who majority of them were youths of the country.

"On any officers who may have acted outside the confines of the law, the Cabinet said they will be dealt with by legal procedure and by the institutions mandated to do so,” part of the Cabinet dispatch reads.

The Cabinet further commended the Officers who acted professionally in handling the protesters as he said that most of the police dealt with the protesters peacefully without causing them harm.

President William Ruto's remarks comes as protest have reportedly declined following the speculations of infiltration of protests by criminals who are breaking into people's businesses and stealing goods.
