Wike's Loyalist Who Is Rivers Attorney-General, Adangor Resigns From Governor Fubara's Cabinet

One of former governor, Nyesom Wike's loyalists - who is a commissioner in Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara's cabinet has resigned after he was moved to another ministry.

The former Attorney General of Rivers State, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN), who was deployed to the Ministry of Special Duties in a cabinet reshuffle by Fubara on Tuesday, has resigned from the Rivers State cabinet.

Adangor, a loyalist of the immediate past governor and Minister of Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Wike, accused Fubara of interfering in his duties recently, in his resignation letter which was addressed to the Secretary of the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo.

The letter which SaharaReporters obtained, is with Ref: MJ/HAG/SSG/4/VOL.1/22 and dated 24th April, 2024, titled: "Cabinet Reshufflement: Notice Of Rejection Of Deployment And Resignation From The Rivers State Executive Council."

The law professor explained in the letter that he chose to leave the government to preserve his reputation, alleging that the governor had directed him not to defend or oppose suits filed against the Attorney-General and the Government of Rivers State by individuals sponsored by the same state government.

The letter partly read: “The Governor of Rivers State had in the past couple of weeks willfully interfered with the performance of my duties as the Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.

“I wish to state for the record, that I am no longer willing to continue to serve in the administration of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, in any capacity whatsoever.

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Zulu Adigwe Is Dead

Another Nigerian veteran Nollywood actor, Zulu Adigwe is dead.

A movie producer, Stanley Nwoko who took to his Instagram page to announce Adigwe's death, said he passed on Tuesday evening.

“I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe.

“What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace good actor,” he added.

During his career, Adigwe was famous in the movies: “Living in Bondage”, “Breaking Free”, and many others.

His death is coming barely 14 days John Paul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope was confirmed dead after his boat sank in the River Niger.

Ondo: Reach Out To Aggrieved Aspirants, APC Chieftain Tells Aiyedatiwa

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ayirimi Emami, has urged Ondo State governor and winner of the party’s ticket for the forthcoming governorship election, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to seek genuine reconciliation with all the aggrieved aspirants who contested with him ahead November off-season election in the state.

In the primary conducted by a team led by Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, Governor Aiyedatiwa was declared winner having polled 48, 569 in the Direct Primary exercise to defeat all the other 15 aspirants.

Some of the aspirants have since kicked against the outcome of the election, alleging that the Governor Ododo team did not follow the party guidelines.

Lauding Aiyedatiwa, the APC chieftain described his victory at the primary as testament of his impactful governance for the few months he has taken over as governor of Ondo state.

He urged him to broker peace with the aggrieved aspirants and accommodate them in the course of his campaigns for the overall interest of the party and development of the oil producing state.

Ogun APC Publicity Secretary Demands N100m Compensation Over Defamation

Ogun State publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Ambassador ‘Tunde Oladunjoye has threatened to institute a legal action against the party’s Leader in Itele Ward 7, Hon. Deko Onamusi for misleading the public into believing that he has been suspended from the party.

Oladunjoye in a protest letter of protest authored by his counsel, Taofik Oladele Lawal Esq is giving Onamusi a 72 hours ultimatum within which to apologise and retract the said publication which he described as “falsehood and misleading”.

In the letter, dated April 20, 2024, a copy of which was obtained by LEADERSHIP, Oladunjoye alleged that the APC leader in Itele Ward 7 maliciously published false information about his personality wherein, he said the APC state publicity secretary had been suspended from the party on grounds of causing polarisation in the party, abuse of office as well as withholding the 2023 election funds.

Describing the purported suspension as “falsehood and far from the truth”, Oladunjoye’s Counsel maintained that Onamusi, who allegedly impersonated the party’s ward chairman, has infringed on the rights of the state publicity secretary through the said publication and as such was libelous.
