The Greatest Mistake Of PDP Was The Loss Of Peter Obi, Not Wike, Kwankwaso And Other G5 —Shehu Sani

According to The Sun, prominent public commentator and human rights advocate Senator Shehu Sani recently made a declaration in which he disclosed plots by Atiku Abubakar and his colleagues to depose President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in the year 2027. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in 2019 and 2023, Atiku, is planning his return to the White House. Senator Sani was questioned during an interview if he felt any remorse over the PDP's defeat in the 2023 election.

In response, he emphasized that the PDP was the party that lost, saying that no one else was to blame but the PDP. His main point was that the PDP's internal strife was a major factor in its eventual demise. According to him, the PDP's prospects took a hit when prominent members like Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso broke away or joined other parties. Senator Sani made the case that the PDP's failure was due to internal strife. He reviewed the results of the 2023 election and pointed out that Atiku and Obi's combined total of 6.7 and 6.1 million votes would have been more than Tinubu's 8 million.

Instead of the G5's departure, he said that the PDP's worst error was losing Peter Obi. "Well, it is not the fault of anyone, but the PDP itself because it is the PDP that defeated the PDP." All five of these political groups—the NNPP, the Labour Party, and the G5—sprang from the PDP. Thus, PDP split into four groups, each of which intended to take on a single adversary. Say who these three are.

Wike, Kwankwaso, Obi, and the other G5 are all members of the PDP. Thus, the PDP's ouster from power was caused by a split parliament, and I think that should serve as a lesson. Atiku received 6.7% of the vote and Obi received 6.1%; when added together, these two figures were sufficient to overcome Tinubu, who had eight million votes. When you factor in that extra NNPP point, it goes well beyond what was already there. According to him, the PDP's biggest error was losing Peter Obi, not the G5.
